Candlelight Vigil on International Day of Peace

In recognition of International Day of Peace, Sunday, September 21, we will host a candlelight vigil at 6:00 pm to lament and remember the 100+ victims of gun violence in Lancaster County over the past 10 years. Everyone is welcome to attend.
We worked with Heeding God’s Call to create this Memorial to the Lost, with t-shirts that have the name of a victim who died by homicide in Lancaster County. These individuals were someone’s child, father, mother, sister, brother, and someone’s beloved. The ripples of gun violence stretch out far and wide.
Please add your voice to the community of care as we pray together that God’s peace would prevail on earth.

Concert on the Lawn

Join us for a concert on the lawn on Sunday, July 20, from 6:00 – 7:00 pm featuring the Twin Rose Community Band. This free family event offers music from different eras and genres – sure to get your toes tapping. Bring your blankets or lawn chairs. In case of inclement weather, the concert will move indoors. Donations are accepted to defray the band’s expenses.

Serving our neighbors!

Are you looking for a community that values fellowship and strives to make a difference in the neighborhood? We would love to welcome you!

Sunday after worship, a group participated in the COBYS annual walk to raise money for Church of the Brethren Youth Services – an organization that provides family counseling, adoption, and foster care services in Lancaster County and beyond.

The things we do flow from our Purpose Statement: “In joyful community, we follow Jesus to embody God’s love with all our neighbors.” Join us!

Church World Service presents Legacy Award

On Wednesday, February 14, Belinda Addae, a representative from Church World Service, presented a Legacy Congregation Award to our congregation in recognition of our years of support for their Kit programs.

In 2010, we began this partnership by supplying 300 hygiene kits and 300 school kits annually. More recently, we’ve added the creation of 25-30 clean-up buckets each year to this important work.

CWS states that “each kit is filled with hope, packed with love, and shared with our neighbors in need at just the right time.” This statement perfectly aligns with our Core Values, and we are grateful for this partnership of compassion.
